Frequently asked

Is Hortlak the same as UNO?

It is the same kind of game: you match colour or number and try to empty your hand first. Its cards, names and some rules, such as Resurrection, are Hortlak's own.

Can +2 and +4 be stacked?

Yes. If the host turns on «Stacking», penalty cards can be played on top of each other and the total passes to the next player.

How many players?

2–8. 8-player rooms are free for everyone, and bots can fill the empty seats.

Is Hortlak free?

Yes. Play as a guest without an account. Add-on packs are optional, and the weekly free rotation opens packs to everyone in turn.

Hortlak is an independent, original game and is not affiliated with Mattel or UNO. UNO is a trademark of Mattel.
